Strawberry shortcake dip is the kind of recipe that makes you wonder why you haven’t been making it your whole life. I first threw this together for Isabella’s birthday party last spring, and the bowl was scraped clean before the cake was even cut. It’s creamy, fruity, and tastes like a cloud of strawberry heaven on a cracker.
This easy strawberry dessert dip comes together in about 10 minutes with no oven required. It’s perfect for potlucks, backyard parties, or just a Tuesday night treat. If you love quick fruity desserts, you’ll also want to check out my easy strawberry brownies for another crowd-pleaser.

Simple Ingredients for Strawberry Shortcake Dip
- 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup strawberry puree (about 3/4 cup chopped strawberries, blended smooth)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups premade sweetened light whipped cream (I use Cabot Light Whipped Cream)
- 1/2 cup finely diced strawberries
- Strawberry slices, graham crackers, and/or shortbread cookies for dipping
Stick to 1/2 cup of strawberry puree any more and the dip gets too thin. Trust me, I learned that the hard way.
How to Make This No Bake Strawberry Dip
- Whip the base. Beat together the cream cheese, strawberry puree, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in the whipped cream. Add 1 cup first and gently fold. Then add the second cup along with diced strawberries (save a few for topping) and fold until combined.
- Top and serve. Transfer to a serving bowl, scatter reserved strawberries on top, and set out your dippers.
Storage and Reheating
This strawberry shortcake dip keeps in the fridge for up to 24 hours in an airtight container. Give it a gentle stir before serving. I wouldn’t recommend freezing it the whipped cream breaks down.

Your Strawberry Shortcake Dip Questions Answered
Can I make strawberry shortcake dip ahead of time?
Yes! Make it up to 24 hours in advance, keep it covered in the fridge, and stir gently before serving. The flavors actually blend together even more overnight.
Can I use frozen strawberries for this dip?
You can. Thaw them completely, blend into a puree, and drain any extra liquid so the dip stays thick.
What can I serve with strawberry shortcake dip?
Graham crackers, shortbread cookies, vanilla wafers, fresh strawberry slices, and cubed pound cake all work great.
How do I make strawberry shortcake dip thicker?
Use a little less puree and make sure your whipped cream is firm before folding it in.

Strawberry Shortcake Dip
- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: 8 servings 1x
Description
This creamy, fruity strawberry shortcake dip is made with just a handful of ingredients and tastes like a slice of strawberry shortcake in every single bite. No baking, no cooking just mix, fold, and serve in about 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup strawberry puree (about 3/4 cup chopped strawberries, blended smooth)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups premade sweetened light whipped cream
- 1/2 cup finely diced strawberries
- Strawberry slices, graham crackers, and/or shortbread cookies for dipping
Instructions
- Whip the base. Using a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese, strawberry puree, sugar, and vanilla extract together until completely smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl so there are no lumps.
- Fold in the first cup of whipped cream. Add one cup of whipped cream and gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture. Use slow, sweeping motions so you don’t deflate the cream.
- Add the rest. Fold in the second cup of whipped cream along with the diced strawberries. Reserve a few pieces of diced strawberry for the top.
- Top and serve. Scatter the reserved strawberries over the dip. Set out graham crackers, shortbread cookies, and fresh strawberry slices for dipping.
Notes
If you want to whip your own cream, use 1 cup of heavy cream plus 2 tbsp powdered sugar and whip until stiff peaks form. You can also swap the granulated sugar for honey if you prefer a more natural sweetener. This dip stores well cover tightly and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Give it a gentle stir before serving again. I don’t recommend freezing as the whipped cream can break down and get watery once thawed.
