Description
A simple wellness ritual using Persian blue salt that you can either drink or use as a calming mist. This magical mixture works wonders for hydration and relaxation, taking just 5 minutes to prepare with ingredients you likely already have at home.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon Persian blue salt (the star ingredient – don’t substitute with regular salt!)
- 1 cup filtered water (warm or room temperature works best)
- 2-3 drops fresh lemon or lime juice (helps with absorption and adds a subtle zing)
- 1 drop mint extract (optional, but adds a lovely cooling sensation)
- 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional, for those who prefer a hint of sweetness)
Instructions
- Pour your filtered water into a clean glass or mixing bowl. If you’re planning to drink this warm, use water that’s comfortably warm to the touch.
- Add the Persian blue salt slowly while stirring. Use a wooden spoon and stir until the salt completely dissolves – this usually takes about 30 seconds.
- Add your lemon or lime juice drop by drop. The citrus helps your body absorb the minerals and brightens the flavor.
- If you’re using mint extract or honey, add them now and give everything a final stir.
- Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes. This allows all the minerals to properly dissolve and blend.
- For the drink version, simply enjoy it slowly. For the mist version, carefully pour into a clean spray bottle using a small funnel.
Notes
Store any leftover blue salt mixture in the refrigerator for up to 7 days in a sealed container. Start with less salt and gradually increase to find your perfect ratio. Use a glass container rather than plastic for mixing and storing to maintain the purest taste. Consistency is key with any wellness practice.
