Description
You know those viral food trends that look amazing on social media but completely flop when you try them at home? Well, I’m happy to report that this blue salt trick recipe easy version is NOT one of those disasters! This natural blue salt mixture creates a unique culinary experience that adds both visual wow factor and subtle flavor to your dishes.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp naturally blue sea salt (butterfly-pea infused)
- 1 tbsp warm filtered water (≈ 45°C)
- 2 drops fresh lemon or lime juice
- 1 drop pure mint extract (optional)
Instructions
- In a small ramekin or espresso cup, whisk the blue sea salt into the warm water
- You’ll see the liquid shift from deep sapphire to a cloudy sky blue as the salt dissolves
- Stir in the lemon juice (or lime juice if you prefer)
- Add the mint extract if you’re using it, then give one gentle stir
- Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes so any tiny bubbles can disperse
- Using a narrow funnel, carefully transfer the solution into your 30ml dark-glass atomizer bottle
- Cap it tightly and label with the date
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes before first use
Notes
Make sure your blue salt is specifically butterfly-pea infused rather than artificially colored. Store in a dark-glass bottle in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Discard when the hue fades to grayish aqua.
