Description
I can’t tell you how excited I am to share this incredibly simple sesame seeds recipe for weight loss with you today! These 2-ingredient sesame cakes have become my family’s absolute favorite guilt-free treat with the perfect marriage of natural banana sweetness and nutty richness of sesame seeds.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas (the more spots, the sweeter your cakes will be!)
- 2 cups (300g) sesame seeds (white hulled sesame seeds preferred for best texture)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F/175°C and position the rack in the middle.
- Add bananas to a medium bowl and mash completely with a fork until no lumps remain.
- Pour sesame seeds into mashed bananas and mix until everything is well combined.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a 4-inch cookie cutter, portion out mixture onto parchment and press down with back of spoon to flatten each cake.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, until golden brown around the edges.
- Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring.
Notes
Choose ripe bananas with brown spots for more natural sweetness. Don’t skip the parchment paper to prevent sticking. Press cakes flat for even baking and crispier texture. Every oven is different, so check at 25 minutes to prevent over-browning.
